The Hazards of Blogging

Tower Bridge View
June 2007

My iTunes: Real World by Matchbox Twenty

Hey everyone. I am feeling a bit better...thanks for all your get well wishes. I loved all the title suggestions that were given by some of you. My humorous side wanted to pick "Scary Man With A Big Stick Riding A Lion"....sorry Tim, I needed one more serious! I really did need to pick one and you will find it on the title post below. Thanks Julie for your idea...it totally fits. Julie is a wonderful photographer. Please click here to go to her blog which is a daily stop for me.

The images today are of the Tower Bridge. I love this bridge. Everytime I see it I notice more and more that I like about it. The architecture is beautiful with the lines and curves. I wouldn't be true to my Carolina roots if I didn't point out the pretty Carolina blue paint. Go Tarheels! :) I opted for black and white images but at Moi's request the color version is below as well. Again, this was another gorgeous day in London.

SIDENOTE: With these images ya'll may start thinking that it doesn't actually get gray and rainy here. TRUST ME...it does...today is a perfect example. It has been raining nonstop.

The bottom image is of the shadows on the bridge sidewalk. You can walk and drive across so I was trying not to wander into traffic as I looked up, down and all over. My husband, along with our family visiting had extra duties that day making sure I didn't lose my life for my blog. Thanks guys for helping out!

Have a wonderful week!

I must say, I get so excited when I see any picture having to do with London. I'm obsessed with the city. I have a few maps actually hanging in my room! So seeing these pictures really brightens my day! Thanks again for the comment earlier!

Thanks Taylor. If you dig through my archives on the right you will find others ones you will like...I hope! I am an American living here for a couple of years with my family. It really is a fantastic city!

When it isn't raining, you get the bluest skies I've ever remembered seeing!

stunning anna, simply stunning - your image yesterday left me speechless, and your b&w of the beguiling sky superseeds it - remarkable talent...

I don't know what says London more, the Tower Bridge or Big Ben. Another tough one to do because it's been done so many times before, but you did good. Perhaps your husband should put you on a leash when you're walking around looking up in the air through the viewfinder to keep you from wandering into traffic. Just a thought. ;-)

I have always questioned why some mothers have their children walking around in those chest harnesses attached to a leash (I can say that because I have three kids...and none of them wore one of those...)

I think I need one though...good idea John!

Anna...yet another amazing image...dang girl you need to start selling these as stock images. I LOVE the shadows from the bridge image-gorgeous and the bridge...I am so jealous you have all that amaziing architecture there. What camera and lens do you normally use?

I am glad to hear you are feeling better. Every time I see one of your pictures I want to go back and erase all of mine. Photography is your calling. They always look so soft and dreamy... just fabulous. That rose a few posts back was so gorgeous, the color of a peach. In fact, so much so that I could imagine it would taste and smell like a peach.

Stay well now!

The Tower Bridge is so amazing and unbelieveable - especially when you lay eyes on it in the flesh for the first time! Simply beautiful. I love your photos of it.

I'm speechless, literally.

Love your last photos, this time I prefer the black and white. The only time I was in London it had beautiful blue skies for a week.

I love how the same image can have such a different feel when rendered in monochrome. The sepia-toned pic has an almost mournful atmosphere that reflects the majesty of the architecture.

Someday, I'll get to shoot pictures with you. I think that would be a completely cool experience, don't ya think?

A beautiful set, Anna. I love both the color and the B&W for different reasons. The B&W one has loads of atmosphere though; really a strong photo.
