Gone to Carolina

NC Flag
July 2007

My iTunes: Imagine by John Lennon

Still settling here....and I have a feeling I will be for awhile!

When I returned to the States I flew to visit my family in North Carolina. There really is nothing like the Carolinas. The beaches are quiet and so serene. It was a bit surreal for me to sit on the beach and know that my husband was in London so far away. It definitely felt each mile that we were apart. We all did. One day maybe I will live in North Carolina...it is never too early to dream!

Hope that you all are having a good week!

Wow, Anna! Pretty amazing what's going on in your life right now! I hope it all goes well for you and your family. I look forward to reading about the transition for all of you. How long were you in London? Just curious.

Hey! You're back in a time zone a little more friendly to the schedules here in the US.

Nice shots, Anna. I hope your hobby keeps your mind busy and keeps you from missing your husband too badly.

If you ever find it's not doing the trick, just look at your camera and say, "Hey, take out the trash."

That might help.

I hope the family is all back together soon and that you can get settled. Unpacking and finding where one has put things is a big challenge. Take it from one who just did this. It wil calm down soon.

A new post! Hooray!

That's a beautiful beach shot. Your end of NC looks a lot different from my end of NC! This is a very diverse state I live in.

Greetings from North Carolina! I am still traveling and will return to Missouri today.

Love the beach scene. I am in Charlotte which is far from there!

It will take a little bit to get settled but you guys will do fine.

I've only ever past through the Carolinas, but they certianly left an impression of beauty that your photo has reinforced.

The miles are a temporary thing. This too shall pass, and he'll be with you soon.

I used to travel to Raleigh a lot on business. Never had much time to go to the beach, but I've been to Wilmington a couple of times and to Cape Hatteras once. It's a beautiful region and I miss it! Too bad I never got the chance to go to the mountains...

I love both shots. We sure love our flags here don't we. When I got to a marina here, boy the boats are all flying American flags, Florida state flags, sports team and college flags.

That sea/beach shot at the bottom is beautiful.

There are at least 3-4 people who would love it if you lived in Carolina - and I am one of them.

P.S. Thanks for your prayers, Anna.
