What I'm Listening To: Star Mile by Joshua Radin

I couldn't think of a title for the image today, so I am giving it the next number in sequence of my posts. I know, I know....I should be more creative but I am dividing my attention between writing this and watching the movie Panic Room. It is quite the thriller if you haven't seen it but I will warn you of the language.

I snapped this as I waited for the train. I have posted before about the Underground, the "tube"...click here if you want to view that post. I am always intrigued at all there is to take in at the station...the people, the tracks, the trains, the mechanics....all of it.

Have a great weekend everyone!

BTW, thanks for all your prayers for my friend from yesterdays post. I appreciate it and I know that she does as well.

I liked this picture. I don't know why, but I sort of like pictures of weird wires and things like that. Although, I probably wouldn't have thought to take a picture of it!

You commented on my blog a few weeks ago, and mentioned that your daughter had a blog. Is she in your links?

I have seen similar places and what I always think of is that there are decades worth of dirt there.

Come and see the pic I just posted.

Funny how when we start taking pictures we see things differently, things we would never notice before and they are so clickable!!!

Do you purposely take these urban photographs to capture my heart?

you sly devil, you!

Subways fascinate me too. Last summer in NYC I couldn't get over the many layers of subways they had... tunnels on top of tunnels criss-crossing back and forth. Amazing!

Such a common site around trains, but necessary I suppose to ensure that they run properly. Our modern way of life has many compromises.

Very nice shot! Of course it would be to me since it has to do with trains!

There is something about rails. The romance, the history, the intrigue of where they go.

Have a great day!

A lovely muddle of wires, pipes, rails, all things urban and manufactured.

Cool pic. I look at and think, it could be today or 1960 and I bet that view would look the same.

as much as i love country side, i love the feel of urban pics....be it bldgs, city-life or as u titled ur pic, Urban decay.......Trains have a special place in my heart......for someone who's fascinated by trains, i'd recommend them to watch Satyajit Ray's Bengali film "Pather Panchali".....The village brother-sister duo spot a train for the first time in their lives and their fascination itself is worth watching the movie...
So did u finish Panic Room? Liked it ???
And hope you are feeling better....:)

Just checking out your blog and the photo attracted my attention first, then the song. Listening to Josh myself, as I type, good stuff. Awesome picture, I will be back.
