For You. Love, God

Tulips Everywhere!
April 2007

What I'm Listening To: The Freshman by The Verve Pipe

My eyes and nose are taking part in quite the feast these days. I am in awe of God's wonder and color palette when it comes to his creation. He is the master artist with us as his audience. How amazing is that? Each of these flowers with vibrant colors and distinct smells...when I think if all these details, I am overwhelmed by the love he has for each of us.

What a beautiful gift!

Spontaneously today, we decided to take a trip into the city to St. James Park. It is situated in front of Buckingham Palace with a huge pond and acres of flowers and large trees to offer shade to those wanting to throw down a blanket and take a nap. And that is exactly what we did! The Queen certainly has some front yard and it is so nice of her to share! As soon as we arrived I spotted these tulips. I snapped so many pictures, it was ridiculous! For every one flower you see in these images, there are 100 elsewhere! I figured I could share a couple not just one....

I hope that you enjoy these as much as I do and that you can see your Fathers love for you through his creation whether you are in sunshine or snow these days....His blessings are truly everywhere, in every season...

The heavens belong to the Lord,
but He has given the earth to all humanity.

Psalm 115:16
New Living Translation

And More Tulips!

By the way, if you are a blogger, please head South and stop by here for some good conversation and some sweet tea with my friend Sarch.

Lovely images Anna, looks like spring is blooming in London. St James' Park is a favourite place of mine. Damian used to work just around the corner and we'd meet up many lunchtimes and talk a walk in the park. Sweet memories. {{HUGS}} to you and yours :o)

Tulips and Calla lilies are my two favorite flowers to photograph. These are beautiful! And flowers certainly remind us of the wonder of our Creator.

Very pretty! I think that spring has left us. It's been so strange here. We had high 80's and low 90's VERY early, then it plummeted to the 20's and 30's. I'm longing for the sunshine again. These photos bring a remider of promising days ahead.

Oh my! These are all beautiful pictures. What I really like is the smaller flowers inside the bigger ones. Thank you for sharing God's beautiful springtime creations. Love, Mom

Anna,
Love the tulips!! They are one of my favorite flowers! Such great colors. I also loved the grilled food...made me hungry just looking at it!!
It is cold (low 60's)and windy here on the coast. Not too many flowers blooming....yet.

Beautiful tulips, Anna. My neighbor had a few like those yellow/burgundy ones. They appear to have been hand-painted!

My brother and I got to the botanical gardens here before this blasted storm came through. We found gorgeous tulips and other flowering shrubs and I was impressed by their layout. Part of the garden is closed as they have a nesting pair of bald eagles with two chicks. They have a web cam set up and a place on the walking trail to watch them. Such magnificent birds!

You've reminded me that I need to bring these home for my wife more often.

Thanks, Anna!

BTW, the Caption This entry has been posted. I spent a rare day away from the computer. It was lovely!

Hi Anna.

I am so in awe of these photos. We are still very far away from my tulips surfacing.....the weather is so dreary this spring. Hopefully all the snow and rain will make the spring flowers bloom like they've never done before.

Tulips are truly my favourite flower. I have a pic I took from my garden of one red tulip with a black background blown up and hanging in my office above my computer which inspires me.

I was married in the middle of the winter 20 years ago.....my mother somehow managed to find white tulips for my bouquet.....simple white tulips and greenery, wrapped in a big satin bow.

beautiful shots, as always.....

Those are gorgeous. I can tell it's going to be a colorful Spring and Summer here at Anna's Photo fo the Day!

Thank you for mentioning my blog in your post. We had several additional visitors due to your comment (evidentally your blog carries some real horsepower!) and it added greatly to the conversation.

God bless you and yours this week Anna.

I've just been introduced to your blog (through kenju, a favorite of mine), but I've known your Father for most of my 74 years. Your photography is really a day-brightener. We here in Chicago are still waiting for the beauties of spring.

My eyes and nose are taking it in too, but not the same way. Nose - runny: eyes - itching. That's right, it's allergy season. Time to break out the Allegra and stay inside.

Great shots, as usual Anna!

Wow, both shots are outstanding. It's good that you take advantage of the area to walk around and photograph it. With my camera, I look and see more than without it. Just having it in my hand causes me to notice more of what's around me.

Anna, I love tulips... I've been to St. James Park!!! Isnt't it there where you have to pay for your seats? (and I did not know that, so my friend and I were sitting for a while then a guy came asking for money, that was so embarrassing!) :-)
