What I'm Listening To: To Be Alone With You by Sufjan Stevens
Even though I have a few more pics to post from our travels to Newcastle....I was really tired of the title and decided a new one was needed!
I snapped these images as we were waiting for our train. The top image is me, well, not me, rather my shoes. I love them and will no doubt wear them out until they cannot be worn anymore. On any given day I am either in these or my comfy flip flops, regardless of weather! I had not had a pair of Chucks for awhile, so I was thrilled when my daughters feet grew and I got her hand me downs. That was so weird by the way! The bottom image is a shot of Sadie after she had painted her nails. I just thought these two pics looked good together.
The apple truly doesn't fall far from the tree...

very cute.... the two stylish girls! :)
Really great composition and editing on both these shots! Love the similarity of colour in the two images too :o)
Both my girls wear larger sizes than I do, Anna, so I can't ever wear their hand-me-downs....:~/
Neat stuff!
This brings back memories of wearing my favorite Converse hightops back when I was a kid.
Great pics, Anna. That's cool that you're rocking the "Chuck Taylors". I had a red pair when I was in grade school.
I like the black "gloss" look of the painted nails.
these are good hands. cobey and corey always make fun of me because i like taking pictures with my hand in them sometimes. but these are good
Great pictures of you two!! You should frame those two together...what a wonderful pair.
Hi Anna
I have just browsed through all of your stories and pictures during the past week or two that I have missed and they are wonderful as always. I love your view on things that I would never even think of looking at. They make me regret not spending more time for the 2 years that I was in London looking for shots like yours.
Your trip to Newcastle sounds wonderful. I have driven there a few times, I did the graduation photos the one year for their University (along with a bunch of other photographers).
Your pictures of the time you spend with your children are amazing too, make me long for that kind of family contact.
Thank you soooo much for your diligent visits to my blog while I have been out of action, I really appreciate all of your comments, thoughts and prayers. ((((Hugs)))))

The colors are just wonderful and add just a bit of drama! Love 'em!
They look like the Converse Allstarts that I used to live in -so comfy!
Neat photos Anna. I like the way you composed the shots and then tied them together with your story.
Take care.
To be honest, I would never choose either of these photos by themselves, but linked together they are striking. Great job!
black fingernails and converse all stars are awesome...
so did you get a chance to listen to arcade fire yet?
Cool sneaks! I love the pic of your daughter's hands in black and white.
I agree with bluemountainmama....two stylish girls indeed :-)
Very nice images, Anna. Love them!
Nice post Anna. Me and my mom have the same shoe sizes and whenever she visits, she wears my Puma's :)
You girls have style! Funny how Converse are back here too.
Anna, I love that you and Sadie can share shoes and clothes. Sadie's hands have a peaceful look about them. Love, Mom
I love the ethereal dreamy quality your photos have; I wish I could emulate it! i love the hand pic - my daughters hands are always really moving somehow...
I just love these shots. I can totally relate... I love when I get my daughters "hand me downs" LOL LOL
I was just really enjoying all your photos! I too wore those and have a pair of the new ones that are back out!
I love the colors, especially the hands... they almost look like those old antique pastels they used to do with a black and white picture and just the palest of blush on the face and cheeks and hair.
Yes, mother's and daughters.... sigh... we had a great birthday supper for Nyssa last night at an elegant restaurant... though we weren't elegant.
As is often the case here in Virginia Beach, we had about two days of lovely spring 60 - 70 degree temperatures in between the cold windy days... then yesterday it shot right on in to summer, reaching 88 in Williamsburg where we were. I really would like there to be a little more "spring"!
extremely cute.
