Making A New Friend

What I'm Listening To: Happy Day by Tim Hughes

Happy Easter!

I hope that you all had a wonderful day. It was a nice day here. The weather was gorgeous and we were invited to go to Osterley Park with some friends before church tonight. We had a small Easter egg hunt, threw the aerobie and spent some time just hanging on the blanket watching the ducks on the water. It was nice to spend time together now that we are all finally feeling better.

I snapped these shots as we were leaving. Jack and I had been lagging behind as we walked to our car. Jack noticed that we were being watched...intently, I might add. The top image is when I got down to Jacks eye level to see our new friend. As we continued to walk, we were still followed. Once the trees opened up, I snapped the bottom image of them befriending one another.

It was a memorable day....

BTW, I just realized that I have been making a mistake on my blog since April 1st...I have been posting March under all my photos...which they weren't! Sorry that I was so scatter-brained! :) It must have been because I was taking care of hubby or something! Anyway...I know now that it IS indeed April now!

okay, what's an aerobie? a british version of a frisbee, perchance?

and that first photo is great....can't pinpoint what it is, but it speaks to me. i love the framing with the branches and barb wire......

These cow pictures are great!

This reminds me of a story from last year.

My grandparents had recently moved out into the suburbs (they have been intimately involved with the city their whole lives). So, out here in the suburbs they didn't know what to expect. I got a call from my grandma one day, she was in hysterics because there was a cow in her back yard! She had to idea how to take it. It was quite funny, actually.

Lol, I never noticed March either, Anna. That top photo is just about the sweetest pic of a cow I've ever seen. Glad to know you had a good Easter. We went to our son's home and had a great meal and a good time!

I love this cow. For some reason cows in other countries are cuter than American cows.

Oh my, what a cute cow! I really love that picture! Of course, the second one is my favorite with Jack in it but that is truly a "Cute Cow". Send me that one...love, Mom

hi Anna...first time commenter long time watcher. I felt compelled to comment on your cow shot - stunningly beautiful - the big brown eyes brought tears to my eyes. As an Australian country girl currently living in half a house in Norway this shot made me homesick and happy.
Thanks!

Wonderful that your kids get to see all that, there's no price for a childhood like that, close to nature. I lived on a farm until I was 8 and still I feel so connected to everything, when I go to a farm I can tell exactly what is being done, how to pick coffee etc. and I cherish those memories so much.

I too was wondering what an aerobie is?

And believe me, I'm still convinced it's March. Where DID April come from anyway?!

I think calves and cows have the biggest most expressive eyes. Such gentle creatures they are.
