Picture in a Picture

Two Shots in One
February 2007

This post has been hard for me because all of you liked the post yesterday so much! Oh the pressure! I am just kidding. Thanks for all your encouraging words...my husband and son enjoyed reading all of your comments!

OK, here I go...

In London there are spaces marked for motorcycles and scooters to park. They are cool to look at when lined up so neat like they were this day. We were on our way to the Apple store (which happens to be my favorite hot spot here!) and I caught this image of a building in the rear view mirror of one of the bikes. My family hurried down the street and of course I stayed behind and got out my camera. This is my finished product. I just thought it was interesting to look at and very unexpected. When I looked at it closer, I realized also that it was a reflection of the top of the Apple store where we were walking. Anyway...cool shot I think.

Hope you are having a good weekend!

I would LOVE to visit London someday. How incredible to be able to live there! That is another great pic! You continue to out-do yourself! hehe

Love it! I want a Vespa :) Couldn't you just picture me zipping around London on a Vespa? haha - yea, I'm laughing at the absurdity too :)

YES - I would LOVE to get a haiku from you!

Sleep tight. I drank two glasses of red wine (my fav) and now I feel like it's 12:30am instead of 7:30pm...so I may be heading to bed shortly myself.

Sleep tight Rebecca! :)

bluemountainmama...trust me, there will be more about the Apple store...I am a certified MAC addict!

the other Anna...you are very sweet! You must come to London soon! I can take you around....

Totally agreed, Anna: very, very cool!

I like how you describe the scene. My family often goes ahead without me while I take out the camera and lag behind. My wife is used to stopping everyone and waiting for me.

Yeah Carmi....

Now mine just leave me behind...that idea was thought up by my teenage daughter I am sure!

:) Glad you liked it!

Mirror shots are almost always interesting!

My family is usually patient with my habit of slowing us down because of photos. Usually. ;-)

Anna, I remember seeing those bikes all lined up when we were in London. They really do look neat...made your dad want a Harley even more!!! Love, Mom

Hey Anna, you took a picture of one of my favorite things in the world....two wheeled transport!

I would like the picture even without the reflection (I mean, just LOOK at the curves of that scooter!), but catching the building in the mirror....fantastic.

I love this picture!

I'm saving up to become (more of) an Apple customer. I have an iPod, I'm saving for the laptop.

We can compare shopping notes, ha ha.

I think its a cool shot too. Its fun to find a different slant on the photographs.
Thanks Anna for your prayers and concern for my husband. He is doing better and with antibiotics should be well soon.

Great shot Anna. I like the perspective that you used and the contrast between the light and dark areas. Good follow up to yesterdays terrific post. Keep up the excellent work.

That's a very commercial shot, Anna! You may parlay this into a paying job yet!

I cannot imagine your dad on a Harley - that's just too funny!

Anna, this is wonderful. There are a lot of Vespas around London in fact it is one of the best ways to get around because of the congestion, altough they imposed that toll after I left there so dont know how that has affected the traffic in London now.

Glad you had a few pints I have never heard of putting lemon in it though LOL. The fish sounds great.

Thanks for all your support and comments they are really appreciated.

Great shot Anna and well spotted. You certainly have an eye for detail.

My meeting in London on Friday was just off Regent Street and I popped into the Apple Store afterwards :)
