My iTunes: Taking the Long Way by Dixie Chicks

I really need to apologize for my lack of writing on my blog. Not that this is a writing blog...and not that I am a good writer. But I do like to take some time writing with my photos when I post. I am telling you, it is the episodes of 24 we have been watching. I can't write anything reasonable because I am in a trance as I watch it. Sad really...but we are enjoying it.

I hope that you all like this photo. It is another favorite I think. I saw these dead trees on a walk and I really liked the way they looked through my viewfinder. The branches are intriguing and to me...and quite artful. Just goes to show you, beauty is everywhere....

See you tomorrow.

An interesting (almost creepy) silhouette.

Love the contrast!

I know what you mean about liking to write. My most fullfilling posts are when I share from my heart about anything that comes from my heart ;)

I've always loved trees with no leaves for their utter random organization. Nice job of silhouetting them, too (not a verb, maybe, but I'm sticking to it).

Funny that you're typing about "24" right now. My parents were just talking about it during their visit. Mom loves it, but Dad says it's horrible. He leaves the room when she watches.

I think I said it before; we have never watched one episode of 24. I have been told it is good, but also violent. Do you find it so?

Love the black and white craggy trees. My hubby and I would call them poetic.

I like! Hey! I just bought a Canon EOS D30 with a 28-135 IS (Image Stabilizer) lens. It is incredible. I'll be posting pictures from it soon.

I know where a good used Canon Digital Rebel 300D is for sale. Very reasonable!

Sorry I haven't been around much. So much is going on in my life - so much. It's been a wild ride...

It's beautiful.
Actually, it's something very similar to this that I would like to have tattooed on my back.

Nice job. Every tree has a character and a shape. I think you could spend a long time documenting them all.

I like the way you have captured this as a silhouette. Creates a mood.

The silhouettes those bare branches make are always a delight to a photographer's eye .
As much as I love the lush trees, my camera keeps gravitating towards the bare ones...:).Nice shot, Anna.
