Under the Tree

Lazy Days

My iTunes: Where We Gonna Go From Here by Mat Kearney

Is there such a thing as a wordless Friday? This my attempt at one. I never did like the rules! While the kids are away for the night, John and I are settling into to watch the first season of 24. I have a feeling we may be pulling an all nighter. I am pretty certain we are the only two people who haven't seen it yet.

This is one of my favorite shots although I have yet to share with you all. It was taken at the park on one of the first really beautiful days of spring here in London. As I walked under these trees I was overcome with their magnitude. Look at the size of that trunk. Amazing. They were just beautiful and I hope I did them some justice.

Sorry, I knew I couldn't do a "wordless" anything! Maybe next time! Hope that you all are well and enjoying the start to your weekend.

anna, i actually think the first season is the best

i think that's a cedar you caught - very spooky as i took a very similar pic of a beech this evening....

enjoy Kiefer et al

If neither you or John are victims of any addictions, you soon will be. "24" is pretty dang suspenseful. Will Sadie Katherine or the boys get to join you at some point? If not you'll soon be bribing 'em for privacy.

Any idea on the age of the tree? Spooky kind of sums it up. Dad

This is beautiful. I love trees, and the light coming thru here is great!

Trees are one of many things that are magnificent to comprehend if we take the time.

I love 24, but I've never seen all of any season yet!

I have never seen even one episode of 24, even though it has been recommended to me many times. I hope you and John enjoy it!

oh isn't it beautiful...yet again it reminds me Joyce Kilmer words, "I think i shall never see, a poem as lovely as a tree"......this look like just the place i'll carry my blanket and book with me ...:)

Wow what a tree. Great moody shot with the way you were able to capture it.

I have never bothered to watch 24, it does look intense.

Take care.

I love the photo. Has a real moody atmosphere despite the lovely day.

That's why I never joined the wordless Wednesday thingy, I am compelled to explain my photos, even if just a little bit.

what kind of tree is this?

I haven't seen 24 and don't plan to for just the reasons you say. I have never really liked serial shows... I like them neatly tied up in an hour. Life is a continuing series and that is enough for me. But enjoy... I hear it is addictive!!!!!!

How did you get such a serene effect in this picture?
