Wishing No More...

Lazy Day
May 2007

My iTunes: On The Radio by Regina Spektor

All the wishing worked! Guess what came to visit me today? The sunshine. :)

I am so happy. I spent a day to myself and wandered into the city. I snapped this shot in Green Park which sits next to Buckingham Palace. I while I wasn't going to fork out any pounds to sit in one of these comfy chairs they have there, it wasn't going to spoil me from getting this shot. It is lovely I think...possibly a favorite lately. My partners for the afternoon were the blue sky, the fluffy white clouds and the soft, lush green grass where I sat. It was TOTALLY worth the 11 day wait for sun. I will be sharing more on my trip into the city in the next few days. I am excited about the images I was able to get.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Love the shot! I bet it is really good to see sunshine. May a high pressure area come to rest over London for a while so everything can dry out.

So glad Mr. Sun finally came to visit. 11 days is entirely too many without him.
Great shot of the chairs too. Its just your style.
Thanks for all your nice comments Anna.

Good for you! You had wonderful company today for your trek into the city.!

Definitely one of my favorites of yours, and a great way to show the finally-shining sun. Too many people are so averse to shooting backlit subjects that they never try shots like this.

I remember those chairs and my surprise to learn that I would have to pay to use one! Great photo, love the pigeon(s).

I've come up with a new photographic term for your unique approach to cropping and framing: "Annatized". I'll let you define the technique, but I don't think tripods, or the use of grid lines in Photoshop will be allowed. LOL!

I'm glad you got your sun back. We could actually use a little more rain than we've gotten so far this Spring. But we can wait until Monday!

Hi Anna,
It's one of the things about photography, how you can see an ordinary object but make it so interesting, other people who havn't got the eye just dont see it.
I have added your link to my site, are you happy to exchange?
Cheers Mark

Oh I can see why this is a favourite shot Anna. I have sneakly sat in those chairs in Kengsington Gardens, back in 2000...

Have you paid for your seats? haha, the usual question. Nice shot!
