What I'm Listening To: Ironic by Alanis Morrisette

Yesterday on Carmi's blog (his link is below), he took an image and titled it Mixed Signals. Check it out when you finish here. At the end, he challenged his readers to shoot an image they see daily (to the point they would almost overlook it) from a considerable distance while using a zoom lens. And of course, he asked us to post it today....so this is my try Carmi!

As I roamed my neighborhood for something interesting (but not interesting)...I came across this. The cluttered rooftops a few few streets away. I have bloggeed before about the above ground telephone lines and how I enjoy looking at them...they run from home to home and it looks pretty cool. Here you have the roof tiles, the antennaes, the chimneys, the telephone wires and the vents. I stopped cold in my tracks when my eye moved across this scene. The second image below I could study for quite some time. I took it simply because it appeals to my fondness of lines.

I urge you to enlarge it, see the detail and tell me what you think. Give me the first three words that come to mind when you look at it.

Neat Anna, your second image looks like a bad hair day . . . not Mom of course. Very interesting lines in both photos.

Wow! That never would have made it through our recent ice storm! Intteresting picture. It is fun to see a picture in things people would probably never give a second thought to.

It so totally reminds me of the rigging on an old ship. Thanks for taking the photo challenge, Anna. This is so cool!

I like the top one for showing a necessity of modern times. My house would have a nice view if it weren't for all the wires!

The second one is my favorite, and my first thought was neat lines. (Oops, only two words!)

That's amazing that those wires actually work together to make something...
    Beautiful shots.

Ok, I must have skipped over the part about the words that come to your mind when you see this picture.

here is mine: (four words actually)

    "Tangled Up In Blue"

    (thanks to Mr. Bob Dylan)

I've got the same problem here as I did at Carmi's Anna....my brain just doesn't want ot spout out even three little descriptive words! Pathetic, huh?

I like the pictures. I find my eye moving constantly when I study it.

my first take is the same as Carmi's. It reminds me of the top of a ship.

my second thought was how messed up our lines of communication can become.....so, here are my three words.

    "communication gone awry"

At first glance I was like Kenju and thought of the tangled web but when I enlarged it, I said Yikes, oh my. How in the world can they get away with that?
    Really interesting detail you captured.
