I have written before about my trips to IKEA. Check out my post called Got Light? about a trip to IKEA in January and the image I managed to get then. That post would have been perfect for tonight as well....read it and you will see why.

We have a friend who arrives tomorrow from the States. She will be staying with us for 5 months. We are all very exited to see her and for her to experience life here with us as a part of our family for awhile. This is why we made the trek to IKEA tonight, to pick up a couple of odds and ends to help make her space here more like home.

I know, I know...you can see me now right? As we walked into the store, I'm pretty much laying on the pavement to get my shot (out of the corner of my eye, I see my husband and boys make double time to the door and get away from me). It's OK, no hurt feelings here...it was worth it. I like this one quite a bit. Hope that you all do as well.

Have a good one!

Hey, if anybody out there has never got prostrate (but not prostate) on the floor, a parking lot, or the grass to take a photo, then they're not trying hard enough!

I like the patterns in this one.

Oh, almost forgot.

I posted on our first trip to IKEA (the Dallas metro area just got one less than two years ago) and here's a link.

Ikea is a great place for photography! Love this shot. Reminds me of your earlier one of carts. Loved that one too! Tim

When your work ends up in MOMA one day, they'll be proud to be seen with you!

I know how you like "lines" but this kind of picture reminds me of how much you have always liked to shop! I love reading about what you see in your photographs. Love, Mom

I looked at the other post about Ikea, and I read my old comment about it. That was before I had been to Ikea! Now that I have walked all over one, I love that store! Their storage solutions are wonderful, and the kitchen gadgets ought to win prizes! They have great carts too, ones that will go in ANY direction you choose!!

Cool pic. We don't have IKEA here in my part of Florida, but we have the highest concentration of Super Walmarts per capita, I'd be willing to bet.

I have taken my camera to Walmart and got some cool pictures. I started last Christmas season when I followed a whole family up and down a couple of rows because the father and son both had world-class mullets. Straight out of Joe Dirt. Of course I haven't seen them again since I started carrying my camera in there.

Now to completely lay my ignorance out there to the world, I've heard of Ikea, but what do they sell?

Great picture and I can picture you in my mind......
"Lines, lines, everywhere are lines.
Blocking out the scenery breaking my mind
Do this, don't do that, can't you read between the lines."......No, wait! That's not right!
Not lines.... "Signs!"

Nevermind.

Funny coincidence, I went to pick up my wife at the airport some days ago and when I saw the line of luggage carts I thought that would make a good picture. As I can see now, I was right, too bad I didn't have my camera with me at the time...
