Just Sitting Around

My iTunes: High and Dry by Radiohead

I took this as I waited at the Atlanta Gift Mart while John went to search for an ATM. There is always something interesting to capture. I shot this yesterday when I was there getting some shots of a showroom for a website. Later in the afternoon, a tornado would come through downtown Atlanta and then another this afternoon. We are all still fine but I thought this was a good time to post this image.

From the news today, it seems like a lot of people have some rebuilding to do. My brother-in-law had at least two windows in his downtown office blown out and had heard his place was a real mess today. While all that can (and will) be extremely stressful, I am so grateful the tornado occurred late in the evening so people were not in many of those buildings, my brother-in-law included.

So very thankful your family was not harmed. I grew up in Oklahoma, smack in the middle of tornado alley. It was always so scary!

Awesome shot as always....

Guess if you were taking photos of the showroom, it was still in one piece? Of course since CNN is right there, they covered it well. Would have hated to be in the Westin! Saw they lost some windows too. Again, glad you all are safe! Tim

Glad you are all safe. THINGS are replacable! I answered your question on my blog, but will here also. For the falconry page, I used a Canon35MM with a 100-400 lens. I handle these birds though so getting close is not a problem. I now have a Canon digital with a 50-500 lens and LOVE it. Thanks for you interest. Now back to you LOL very cool shot, I like it.You always have something interesting to show, thanks for sharingw
