A Pick Me Up

Cart of Balls
March 2008

My iTunes: Breakable by Ingrid Michaelson

Another lesson for the boys today. Unfortunately Jack wasn't able to go tonight because he had pulled a muscle carrying that anvil otherwise known as a backpack. Nice, huh? It is crazy what kids take home from school these days. Way too heavy!

Back to the pictures...sorry, I am easily distracted!

The shot above is the ball cart. When it is full, you are happy because you are about to hit a lot of balls and get some great practice! When it is empty, it means you have A LOT to pick up! Not fun...

Unless you are an eight year old and like to build ball pyramids (see below).

I am going to get a TON of heat for posting the picture below. Why do you think? I would like you all to guess why. I will let you all know after I get a few guesses in the comments.

Later!

I like the pyramid on the racket, coupled with the expression on his face. Very fun!

Great pic of your son. I would guess that the "heat" has something to do with the people in the background. It's hard to tell, but is someone's hand on a crotch? (sorry to be crass, but I don't know a more polite term for it)

fun pyramid.....

I didn't even notice the hand! I was thinking along the lines of hair in the eyes. Makes my assumption look tame!

Child labor laws in GA?

Top photo of today's post, and yesterday's post would make great stock photos, I think. Have you ever looked into doing stock photography?

I'd like to think that was an Oklahoma T-shirt (University of Oklahoma), but ...

I love these. The expression on your son's face is precious.

I understand the grief you get from your subjects! My kids are pretty camera phobic and make it difficult for me most times.

It looks like his hands were to occupied delicately balancing the balls to do much to prevent you from getting that one! Kudos!

Is Sam picking up all those tennis balls for you? haha

I am surprised not more people guessed...tommie got it right! Mark, I totally didnt see that in the photo!

It is Sam's hair! I kept checking my comments waiting for my mom to say..."Can you get him a haircut please?"

Let's face it...the ladies love the hair! Especially ME! I may get his bangs trimmed to further his sports career! I will admit he needs to see the darn ball!

:)

Thanks for all the nice comments!

That's a great shot of your son.

We bought our daughters those small suitcases like you see flight attendants pulling through airports and they used those when in school instead of the 70lb backpacks.

A boy might object to using one, but they prevent him having to lift so much.

I agree that the kids backpacks are way too heavy. Many are going to rolling carts , which some schools have made to be way cool and some schools' kids feel they will be dweebs if they don't have the backpack.
Love your pictures and you have such great looking children Anna.
