Concert Bound

Piano Man
April 2008

My iTunes: Death and All His Friends by Coldplay

YAY! I am the proud owner of six Coldplay tickets! I am so glad I was able to get them! My sister will be coming in November with her girls and then we are all going to see them here in Atlanta. The last time I saw Coldplay in concert was 3 years ago. It was an amazing show... surprisingly intimate in an amphitheater in Raleigh, NC. The guys were funny and had quite a bit of banter with the crowd which I loved.

I have always had a passion for music and anything having to do with music. Not that I can carry a tune or play an instrument....I cannot. Lucky for ya'll. I got this shot at a photo session a couple of months ago and was waiting to use it. The boy who is playing in this shot has been playing for a long time and has even started writing his own music. Very cool. This seems appropriate for a post celebrating music and the joy that it brings me personally.

I am just ready to see Chris Martin playing that piano of his in person!

See you all tomorrow!

Oh I love it! Not being instrumental myself, I just find joy in seeing others thrive.
Congrats on getting tickets!! That'll be a fun outing!

Doh! My wife and I were going to remember to get Coldplay tickets for Dallas when they went on sale Saturday morning (for the November 19 show - WTH?) Trying to pull off the biggest dual-home garage sale in the metro area's history sidetracked us. Dang! Now it's sold out unless we pay twice the original price at one of those huckster sites.

Cool pic of the budding young musician.

I always regretted that the only instrument I truly learned was in school band -- the baritone. No, not the bari sax. Just the baritone (or euphonium).

You rarely go to somebody's house and see that they happen to have a baritone horn and then launch into an impromptu jam of "Tuba Juba Duba."

Wooo Hoooo! Congratulations on your ticket purchase. Hopefully the wedding you shoot will cover the cost of those tickets! The first thing I always do after buying concert tickets is to check out the venue's website to find out their policy on cameras. Most don't allow anything. Some allow point and shoot only. Some have no restrictions. I got some GREAT shots of Steven Curtis Chapman and Bethany Dillon last year at a concert in a church (you can see them here).

Nice picture tonight. I don't know how you can sit on pictures you like without posting them immediately. I'm probably going to throw a whole bunch up tonight instead of spreading them out.

Hope you're having a great weekend. :)

I was here. I did look at your picture(s) and I did read what you wrote about them. I could say how great you are and how beautiful your work is but alas I would soon run out of things to say on the next blog I visited, so I just left this to prove I stopped and said a few words and I am not just a lurker or visitor but also a commenter.

Yes, congratulations. I'm from the dark ages, and I odn't know Coldplay's music, but my son does, and he thinks they're cool.
