Double Digits

Getting Ready!
June 2008

My iTunes: Naive by The Kooks

Sorry to be away for a couple of days....

In my house today....10 is the new 16! Our middle child turned 10 today. Another child in double digits. WOW. When did that happen? We had a great day. Fresh off of some serious jetlag and exhaustion from travel, we had this important birthday to celebrate!

We already knew what he wanted. A bike. Not just any bike. This bike. He looks like a adult (ok, a small one) on this 26 inch bike. These shots were taken today...yes, I do manage to get some shots of my kids in! We had a great day together and topped it off with dinner with family. Thanks Peg.

Happy Birthday Jack!

Happy Birthday Jack! Wow what a bike! A bike, a birthday and a trip out West. I bet Jack is one tuckered out kid.

Glad to see you guys are back. Hope you had a great trip.

Had I not had a bicycle growing up, I wouldn't have truly lived.

Glad Jack is into this wonderful activity. Happy Birthday, Jack!

Glad Jack had a great birthday! They grow up so fast, don't they?

10 years old! What a great age. So proud to be in those double digits. And is that bike cool or what? My first bike was cute; NOT cool. Great images of your big boy on his new ride.

And to answer your question, no I didn't attempt to call you yet. I was well aware of when you were coming home but didn't want to swarm you as soon as you walked through the door. But since you're asking, perhaps tomorrow might work well. Looking forward to chatting and picking your brain!

You can tell by that look on his face in the last photo that he is as proud as punch to have that new bike!
Great shots - I like the shoe on the pedal.

Happy Birthday, Jack! He is growing up so fast and already looks so much older than when I saw him last summer!

He's adorable! You can tell that you are a TRUE photographer - ya wanna know why? Because you DARED to take a shot of your son, INTENTIONALLY blurring him, while the rest of us are trying to desperately to capture ours CLEARLY! LOL! I LOVE that shot!

Happy Birthday, Jack! Hitting double digits is a BIG deal. What a cool new bike.

I'm visiting my daughter in Seattle right now, so I haven't posted anything new for a few days, and I just snagged a few minutes to catch up on some blogs. Love your photos as always. :)
