What I'm Listening To: Undo by Rush of Fools

Greetings from No.9...

What a day here! It was so beautiful and a perfect way to start my weekend.

It had been a long week here with John leaving and my normal routine but I got a special surprise in my email tonight. My husband who has never commented on my blog, took the time to send his thoughts on my post all the way from India. It meant a lot to me to read his words even though I know he is my most devoted "lurker" out there.

If you have been a regular here you know there are two things that I really like...lines and doors. The last time I looked at this door, it was covered with snow. It was nice to see the sun shining on the doorway and the branches with some patches of greenery. Like a story, I see the foreshadowing of things to come and I am very excited about it. Last spring I had not started my blog, so this will be very new for me as this season approaches.

I snapped No.9 as the boys and I were walking to visit some of their friends they know from the school they used to attend. It was great for them to see everyone. I believe it has been important for them to maintain some of these friendships made over the past year, especially since they are now being homeschooled. Sorry that thought was so random...

Anyhow, I am looking forward to sharing this spring with you through my lens.

How neat to have a coment from your hubby so far away. I've been thinking of you as you're going it alone for a few days. Thanks for your blog. I love coming here and also visiting many in your sidebar.

I love door pictures. I've taken some in the past, but the doors in my town don't seem to be as artful as those in yours. I think I need to walk more - and to look more.

We lived in York, England for a year and had a front door like this. I love your photography.

I can't wait to walk through your 'hood!

And thanks for the reminder - I had originally wanted to mention that I got the "dna" from you...and we're awfully similar ;)

Another great door! The bw makes it look like a winter scene. I think that you've shown how a door can also be a reflection of the home inside.

Yesterday was a winner too! 24 comments is exciting, and how could you go wrong with that face? ;)

The internet helps us to make all kinds of connections, Anna, and I am glad to know that John made the connection all the way from India.

I am sure it is good for the children to maintain some of their school friendships, otherwise they'd be fairly isolated, no?

Great shot Anna, I am glad John has been able to get on and leave you a post. It would be a welcome sight to have such nice pictures of your son when you are so far away from home.

I look forward to it as well. I like the shots in your last post as well. I've got a Canon 430 EX speedlite for my camera, but I haven't used it all that much yet.

I like door pics too. I wonder what that means. Are we trying to get in or trying to get out?

Enjoyed reading and viewing Anna's Photo of the Day. I found the Blog when Google searching my son's Christin Band here in the USA called Rush of Fools. Hope you enjoyed hearing "Undo" which will be on their first CD to be distributed world wide in May 2007. Their goal is to spread God's word through music. I also have enjoyed reading your Blog from a neighborhood just outside Birmingham, Alabama, in the USA. Look forward to seeing more of your fantastic photos. Have a good day.

Thanks anonymous!

I am so glad that you googled and found me and your son's song. Very cool. I am also from America. Our family is living here for a couple of years in ministry. Please pass along my regards to Rush of Fools. I am looking forward to the CD coming out and getting it from iTunes.

Please come back and visit and make sure to comment! :) Take Care.

Anna, So glad you found our son's Myspace site for Rush of Fools. I was Anonymous from March 15th at 8:51PM. His mother and I are proud that he feels led to spread God's word thru music. Pray for his band during their travels accross America. Feel free to send in comments to their Myspace site. They love getting comments about their music. Please take care and God bless you and your family.

I am so glad that you checked back here. Did you see my new post for tonight?

I am so excited for your son and his friends. You and your wife must be thrilled beyond belief. Using the gifts God gave him to point others to Christ. Wonderful. That is what I am trying to do in some small way as I delve into my photography that I am passionate about. I am eager to see how God might be able to use that on some level.

I did send them a message on their myspace telling them more about what we are doing here in London and wishing them well.

Take care and I hope to hear from you soon!
