What I'm Listening To: Have A Little Faith In Me by John Hiatt

It's Friday!

I took this picture while in the courtyard at the British Museum. As we left I glanced to my left and saw this shot. I did change the tones to B&W...it looks so classic I think. The pretty trees, the iron fence and bikes so neatly lined up...very picturesque.

Today was hard. I have not been feeling well since this morning...not to mention that I am missing my husband so much. I am anticipating a relaxing weekend of just hanging around the house with my kids. I have been somewhat housebound for two days so I am looking forward to blowing the film of dust off my camera and getting creative. Pics will follow so come back!

It is going to be a good weekend I think.

Just like you sister, Kim, I love black and whites. My first thought when I saw the post was how peaceful it looked. No hustle-bustle going on.

Hope you have a wonderful, peaceful weekend with my grandchildren! Love, Mom

If I squeeze my eyes just a little bit shut, this picture takes me back a few generations. Gorgeous!

You're right: it'll be a wonderful weekend. I wish I could share an image that would make the loneliness a little easier to bear. I know what it's like, because I impose the very same thing on my wife on occasion.

In fact, I'm flying off to the other side of the continent on Tuesday. And in a little over a month, I'm scheduled to go to China. I wish I could just take my entire family with me.

Alas.

You have made it through a week and things will be better in the morning. Sleep well, hug you kids and sing praises to welcome the day.

Hi Anna......I'm sorry you're feeling under the weather. It makes it doubly hard when you're trying to manage on your own.

I love this shot....it truly is nostalgic.......and beautiful in black and white.

Your song choice? I am a huge John Hiatt fan. My husband compiled a CD of all Hiatt tunes which I often listen to when I'm driving out to complete home visits with my clients......his voice and his lyrics resonate with me. Have a little faith in me is a sorrowful, soulfilling song of hope and forgiveness.........it's a beautiful song.

take care.......

Great image. The bikes really give it a sense of scale.

I like your choice of toning on this one. Getting a sepia tone right is not as easy as it seems at first!
