What I'm Listening To: Radiate by Telecast

This tune is perfect for this image. I hope you will check it out on iTunes.

I am posting earlier than ususal tonight. I have a date tonight with my better half. If all goes well, we are going to see the movie The Good Shepherd with some friends. So I better get on with my post...

Does this image need many words? Not so much. When I saw this bloom as I walked, what caught my eye was it was a lone vibrant pink flower in a sea of green leaves. It was beautiful nestled in there. I intentionally composed this shot with the flower going out of the frame so you could get a feel for all the greenery. I am so grateful that my eyes can delight in such splendid things that my Father created.

I hope this gives you a bit of a lift today like it did for me. Have a good Sunday tomorrow.

Do you know what kind of flower it is? Just lovely with the pink and that deep dark green. The temp got up to almost 70 today and the daffodils are having a grand time.

It was a beautiful day here today. You photo represents what lies just ahead. It was sunny and in the low 70s. A perfect day for taking the Harley out for a ride, but I took the car so I could carry my camera gear and get some shots in the foothills. Some are on Overflow and more will be posted in the days to come. Funny, I've been to these places over and over again, but always notice something new.

Mike

PS: I took the bike out, but after the sun had set.

I like your DNA, Anna, both here and your family....LOL. I answered mine and put it on so quickly that I didn't personalize mine or answer any questions. Maybe I can do it again.

Gorgeous. I love this composition. This coolness of the background with that hot pink flower stealing the show!

I came and checked out your visual DNA. Cool :-)

Great catch, Anna. My wife and I make it a point to go out on dates. When we tell friends what we're doing, they're amazed that a married couple would even consider it.

Frankly, I'm amazed that a married couple WOULDN'T consider it. Every day with her is a new adventure, so I need to make sure I let her know. Pictures, dates, and craziness of us...it's all part and parcel of the adventure.

Back to technical stuff for a sec: the softness of this image is superb. You mastered depth of field perfectly to achieve it.
