Goodbye Black.

Those Eyes.
July 2008

My iTunes:  Waiting for the World to Change by John Mayer

I usually warn you all when my Project is about to end but this time is going to be different!

I was going to post this image in black and white but just couldn't do it!  Those eyes are wonderful and I could get lost in them.  As I photographed this little one yesterday I found myself wondering how in the world his mom gets anything done during the day???  The entire family was wonderful and all three cousins have the most beautiful eyes!  I am hoping that his mom and dad will be checking in here so they can get a sneak peek of what they will be looking over later in the week in their proofs.

Have a good week everyone!  I will announce the next Project at the beginning of September so come and check it out!

Great shots. Looks like you used a bit of fill flash on the one of the two boys. Did you also on the top shot? Whatever the case, bravo.

Adorable! If we had to leave black behind, this was the way to go!

WOW on the eyes. Anyone looking at this HAS to click on that top photo to see it larger. You captured the eyes amazingly well. Did I already say WOW?

Heyy, another colour project! Sadly I've missed it entirely, because my bloglines has only been showing me your old posts (and I mean OLD - like two years ago!)

Well, better late than never, huh? I've posted my first and last take on black. The subject is very close to yours...

I've also linked to your blog a while ago. Your blog is one of the two (so far) links on my photoblog. More links coming up once I find something I like :)

I love the light in the blue eyes -shot!

Oh, dear...

I'm so thankful I got a last one in before you closed up shop. And we gotta wait til September?? I guess you know your schedule, lol, busy with back to school, and I imagine, end-of-summer photo shoots.

You're right about his eyes. Before I read your words, I looked at that face and thought "He's beautiful"...something so pure, and you captured it beautifully.

As always, thanks for hosting and bringing us together. It really has helped me to "see" more in this world :).

The eyes of everything makes the subject. Not just people. Look at the eyes of a calf and you may never eat Veal.

Thanks for liking the wedding shots :) I'll let you know if I decide to pull out the loan and go for a DSLR...

(Courtney) Eeeeee! (squeal of joy!) We ran out to get bagels and when we got back Deron had such a giant smile on his face and had my mom and I come upstairs! We are in love with both these photos!!! We can't get over how GREAT a shot you got of the boys--the best we have EVER seen of them. They both look beautiful and their closeness comes through right along with their individual and unique personalities. And it's a gorgeous composition to boot (I am not a photographer, so my words may be inadequate)! And, as for seeing our little guy in that photo you took so beautifully--well, I am not sure I have words. Thank you! My heart and eyes are full indeed!

Well, another terrific photo. You do great portraits. Thanks.

I ended Black the same way I started. With a fence. Thanks for this fun. September is too far away.
