Project Black. Take Three.

I Think I Can!
June 2008

My iTunes:  Thunder by Boys Like Girls

OK, so I am breaking the second rule in two days...again, I am  not so good with rules.

This shot is another absolute favorite from CO and I am thinking Mike will like this one!  Check out his site and his PB post from yesterday....Men In Black anyone?  Very creative.  Anyhow, as everyone was sitting on the train in Durango, I was out in front of it...my boys were VERY nervous that I would get left behind.  No worries, I made it...barely.

The black is looking good everyone!  Keep it up.  I am still trying to get to everyone and comment so thanks for your patience!  If you are new to Project Black below is what you need to do to get started.

1.  Turn on your camera.
2.  Find black.
3. Take picture.
4. OK, if you are me, take the lens cap off....then take picture.
5.  Post your image.
6. Link back to me.
7. Sign Mr. Linky

It's that simple.

Have fun!

THAT is one awesome shot! Course trains are just awe inspiring (wanderlust anyone?) Wow! Worth almost getting railroaded for!

Hey, it's your game, so you can change the rules. I don't think you could get the same smokey effect with color.

Actually the color looks great but there is something timeless about black and white.....

Thanks for the encouragement on the rule breaking though!

Project Black looked like so much fun I just had to join in, especially after I found this Red Winged Blackbird in my stack of photos to be processed.

Since you broke YOUR OWN rules I don't feel so bad adding my name a second time to Mr. Linky! This is a fantastic shot, Anna. The b&w works perfectly with all the steam from the engine. Nicely done my friend.

VERY cool shot! So mysterious and ethereal with all that steam. Rules or no rules, I love b&w photography.

You bet I like this one! I will be trying to keep my movie theme going tonight!

Hey aren't rules made to be broken? Especially when you made them up to begin with! LOL Wonderful shot.

(Thought I'd come out of lurking to play this time around.)

That's an amazing photo - and taken right here in my home state. Hmm...I might have to break the black and white rule, too. But not yet...

Wow, I've been looking forward to your next project!

Love the photos, and the color is so much fun. Thanks!

Beautiful photo! I'm glad you're breaking the rules. That means I can too. Yippee!

As for Mr. Linky. We're only supposed to add our names once, right? And then check back on everyone. Right?

Tsk, tsk... breaking the rules... haha, rules are made to be broken, right? Perhaps I should have posted today's image in black and white after all...

This shot SCREAMS character. I truly love this shot and if I had the space on my wall I would ask for it printed on canvas.

Adore your train shot with all that billowing steam! And yes! Black and white works best!

This is my first posting here! I've only just discovered this site! Fantastic one!

A wonderfully dramatic shot!

My offering for Day 3 is combined with a writing prompt to offer a glimpse into what makes me and my blog tick. Stop by and take a look.

Anna, this is far more interesting, educational, challenging, memorable and down right fun than any meme ever thunk up.

I really like my hats and I tip 'em all to you. Thanks.

At last I got your www right!
Now I'm going to do black in New York.
Of course this isn't nearly so hard as it was for the Morocco blog.
We are in Ny now.
All best wishes for a peaceful weekend.

Great capture! While not a B/W fan in general - there are those shots, that just lend themselves to it - this is one of them.
Working on Take 2.
Cheers, Klaus

I've been on the tube with you I know how you push it to actually get on the train with us all... That was 2 summers ago so it seems like you haven't gotten any better :-P

Super shot!

This shot feels almost film noir...mysterious and with a story to tell. I would love to see the contrasting color shot one day, but I imagine it would carry with it a totally different feel. You seemed to have had perfect timing--both in capturing a wonderful photograph and not getting left behind!

My day three is up, too :). It's a series that combines black and LIGHT...and as always, I love to know others' favorites!
