My iTunes: The Hardest Part by Coldplay

Greetings from London!

It is 55 degrees and rainy! My holiday is officially OVER! I never knew that powering down could be so hard. I have to confess...I did check email while I was gone. I am amazed at where you can get internet access. I appreciated all your comments wishing me a good time away! I am still sifting through my 1600 images that I managed to snap here and there while relaxing! Hehehe. I am eager to share them soon!

Until then I wanted to share this image. I snapped this one afternoon at the British Library. If you are ever in London, make this place a must see. It is also nice because it is free. Right now they have an exhibit called SACRED where you can see many ancient texts and manuscripts including the Codex Sinaiticus from 350 AD. This is the earliest surviving copy of the complete New Testament from the bible. It was found at the foot of Mt. Sinai in Egypt. They also have a piece from the Dead Sea Scrolls. The piece you can see is from the book of Psalms from the year 50 AD. Pretty amazing.

I am so glad that I am back and will be touching base on blogs and commenting over the next few days! Have a great week!

Definitely sounds like a lot of cool artifacts that you got to see!

Welcome back, Anna! Don't know where you went, but I look forward to photos of it.

I've been reading other blogs about the cold and rain there. Hope that stops soon!

I agree with autumn - great CD cover!

Now, who has a band called British Library?

I'm still amazed at the age of those artifacts you saw.

I love this; maybe it's special as I'm a librarian (though not at THE British library, just a British library!)
Welcome back Anna XX

Anna,

I LOVE this image! It's graphic, it's bold, it's abstract. Wonderful.

Good to see you back Anna. Can't wait to see your pictures, especially if they are as interesting as this one! Teresa liked this one as she is a librarian.

Hi Anna,

Amber and Jason's wedding photographer here. Not that you need to hear this from me, but this is really good stuff. Just don't become a professional; you'll never find time to blog every day! It'll spoil all the fun!

I'm a little disappointed that they couldn't come up with a more engaging moniker than "British Library". There must not be any marketers in the library system.

I'll check back soon.

P.S. Please book a wedding for me over your way. I now have three stops to make in the UK; George MacDonald's home, the Eagle and Child Pub, and . . . the British Library.

Glad to have you back Anna. i hope it was a super rest for you. So many times I see a shot and say that's an "Anna shot."
Take a deep breath and power down slowly before going back to packing those boxes.

That would be amazing to go to that library. Heck, I even love our small local ones. I can't imagine a big-shot library like that.

Welcome back.

Welcome back! I'm looking forward to seeing some of those 1600 photos (but maybe not all 1600). I cut a little wooden wedge to stick under one side of my monitor to tilt it slightly, so I'm ready for the show!

I just stumbled across your blog. I'm glad I did because I just spent two weeks in England (one week in London) and you have taken all of the pics I wish I could have taken while I was there. Awesome!!

That's a very cool shot! 55 degrees and raining? In Sacramento yesterday, it was a record 108 degrees! That's right, 108 degrees! That's 42.2 degrees for those on the metric system. Somehow 42 doesn't seem as hot as 108.
