Tickets and Cokes

Tickets
2008

My iTunes:  Love It All by The Kooks

I love red and yellow!  I snapped these at the Go Kart place where when I took Sadie and her friends for some fun!  Who would have thought these two subjects could be so interesting?!?
I despise those yellow tickets.  Why?  I spend good money to watch my kids earn tickets to pick out something for a 10th of the price if what I paid for them to play the games!  It's insane I tell you!  Of course I know it's my fault for taking them there!  But this is NOT about me!!!!!  After one trip to Chuck E Cheese when my kids were little, the place was designated a GRANDPARENTS ONLY spot and my husband and I have never returned!!!

I hope everyone is well.  Send me thoughts and prayers please as I am in talks to be hired for two more weddings.  YAY!  I am very excited at the possibilities of all that is happening and know it will all come together as it should...

Have a wonderful weekend!

That's a true photographer's eye there. To see the beauty in places of chaos is impressive.

Two weddings? Waaa hoooo. Need an assistant? Hee hee.

I love yellow and red together, too, and this is the day for it because that's what David has up on his blog!

There is a "game room" in Vegas where kids can "gamble" for tickets. It is a future consumer trading ground.

Anna, if they see your previous shoots, and they have any style at all, they'll hire you!n Good luck.

What wonderful shots. I love it when mundane things become art and you have a gift for turning the ordinary into something special.

I can almost feel the chaos going on around these shots!
And believe it or not, there is actually a place scarier than Chuck E Cheese. Its called "Pandy's World."

I have only been to Chuck E Cheeses a couple of times for Birhtday parties the boys went to. The place is madness. My kids were not all that taken with it. They preferred the boardwalk arcades which is just as bad but at least there is nicer scenery around that Chuck E Chesses.

I love the photos. They are great subjects because the patters are very interesting.

The yellow is great, and I love the lines in the cup shot.

As far as the tickets buying trinkets for inflated prices? I see the tickets as an afterthought, because you're paying to play a game, not to get a toy. That of course encourages people who want to buy overprice trinkets to play a game more times than they might have otherwise.

The big question for me would be, "What is the price per token in those places?"

Okay, enough about that. Cool photos, as usual.

And you KNOW I was having a birthday party for Celia at Chuck E. Cheese this morning! I LOVE Chuck E. Cheese--but only on a weekday at 10:00 when NO ONE else is there. But on a weekend? I'd rather have a root canal...

Ugh... Chuck E Cheese I haven't been there in years... Occasionally I think how I would like to play ski ball again and then I remember the insanity of that place and go "NEVER MIND!"

LOL at Chuckie Cheese's. I was always afraid of those Balls!!

Well I have to comment that I love how you find little things which in the Big scheme of things might be overlooked; but in Your eyes become something very beautiful and thus...art. Keep it up!! You inspire Me!

Two weddings -- how exciting! I'm still going through my pictures (although I did have a break while writing that paper).

I remember going to Chuck-E-Cheese as a kid -- I didn't particularly care about the tickets, it was just fun to play the games.

I really like the shot of the tickets. Nicely done.

I love how you make ordinary subjects look so much more exciting!

My kids love those games that you earn tickets and get to pick out "prizes". Or should I say junk.

Good luck with the weddings!
