Project Green. Take Two.

GREENCART
Green Cart
April 2008

My iTunes: Supernatural Superserious by R.E.M.
This song is amazing and R.E.M. just rocks. Make sure to watch the video on iTunes which is very artistically done.

Another day...another green...

I actually was on my way home, saw this cart from far away, turned around and sat through two lights to snap it. You should have seen the man who was minding his own business at a store right next to this cart. He watched me walk up from the parking lot, take the picture (OK, a few of them) and walk away back to my car.

I wonder what he was thinking when he saw me!

Oh, and this also is my Project Look Through (PLT). Take Three. For more on that go here. On the blogs I have visited already today, some have been combining the two projects and I love the idea! Very creative and it makes the hunt extra challenging!

Make sure to add your name below when you join in the fun! See you all when I make the rounds! Have fun finding green!

Woo Hoo -- I'm first again! = )

Nice angle on this one, Anna. Except you're looking down, not up... are you sure you took this one? = )

I've posted mine for today as well!

I really like that color!! Fantastic shot. Love the turning around and waiting at two lights. You sound like me!

I added my first photo and also created a blog for Zane (my 8 year old) When he saw me doing my shot, he ran and got his sidewalk chalk and pushed me out of the way.

I told him it could be considered HomeSchool and he's ALL over it. I love it when they don't know they're learning!! They have so much more fun!

we don't have carts that colour over here!! I like it. I wonder what that man was thinking - you paint a very funny picture- would have been amusing to watch!! :0)

What's the saying? A picture tells a thousand words? Well in this case, I disagree. Your words here make the picture. Don't misunderstand, it's a great picture by itself. But I love the story that goes with it. It makes it complete.

Yep, I would have sat thru two lights (or more) to do the same thing!!

If I have time this evening (Tuesday evening in Aus) I'll post a shot for Project green, since I took quite a few for you y'day!!

Keep smiling

David

Wow! It's almost the same shade of green as the door!

Just want to say thanks for making me more observant of my surroundings...and, I'm STILL seeing yellow!

That is so funny, what we don't do to take a photo.

One of out two local grocery stores has greenish blue carts. I noticed them on my way home from school and thought about getting off the buss to snap a couple of photos, but decided the color wasn't true enough

Now I'm glad -- your photo is superb AND the right color. I would have looked like a second rate copy cat. Not only that, I would have missed the photo op waiting in my yard at home.

I can't find any green except my houseplants which I don't really photograph but could. . . so haven't participated.

I dropped by because you commented on our benches blog. . . thanks! If you have benches to share, we could add you to our membership to post. Let me know as we would enjoy seeing more benches.

I will keep trying to find some green things. . . I guess I could photograph money if I had some . . . haha

Terrific post and a wonderful shot! I've got some green today... Happy Earth Day!

Amazing how you find the green colour everywhere, my mind is locked only in green leaves:).
Thank you for those nice words in my blog, my "ears were moving" as we say in Estonian...I'm newcomer in photomemes world. I thought to put up one more green photo, again leaves:), but I don't know...the 3d line of names is unreadable in mrLinky and may-be too many photos on the same subject is not interesting, I have to calculate ;)

Great shot! took me a moment to figure out what it was. Love geometric shots. And aren't you clever combining the two projects??

My shot's posted, Anna

Hi Anna! Love the shots for your project green! And the color couldn't be more appropriate for Earth Day!

It reminds me of a giant connect 4. It took me a minute to figure out what it was- which I think is fantastic. It makes a grocery cart an abstract piece of art. Well done!!

Anna: There you go again with your great angles. I have to keep working on that part of photography. Green is all around but and yet harder to find. It is more of a challenge.

I so enjoy photos of everyday things seen in unusual ways. Great photo here!

Awesome, I love the light and shadow.

Cool shot.

Speaking of R.E.M., if you go to supernaturalsuperserious.com, there's a bunch of different versions of the video you can download. Some of them are acoustic.

Very nice, Anna. I loved take one - great composition. Love the banner, too.

I think the leaves at the top of your page are your best green shot. It's really an eye catcher!

Anna said...

Thanks John! My fav so far I think is the door. I have this thing for doors!

When I initially opened your page, I didn't know what I was looking at; as soon as you explained, it was "ah ha!"...which is actually pretty funny (ironic, not "haha") because last week I was eying green shopping carts "just in case" that's what you choose this week!

I think I'll leave it with you, though, 'cause this take is spot on...no way I could come up with anything better or even equal to it!

I think I will join in. It sounds like fun.

I love the angle of this shot - it;s amazing.

I finally got up a green project that you can actually see the green on. Thanks for coming up with all these ideas!!

What a great close-up! I couldn't tell what it was at first.

Just got mine up.

VERY cool shot. Love the angle, and the brightness.

I'll be participating come tomorrow and thereafter. Today I just had to do the post I did because...well...just because. *s*

You always surprise us with your angles and lights!

I just joined PG...

The colors are definitely great , but I am not sure what I am looking at. Nice blog though

Anna said...

Well, at least you drove up and took this one standing up... I remember one that you posted a while ago from a trip to IKEA where you were laying on the ground to take it. Love you!!!

Love the vertical shadows on the cart and the latticed one on the frame. Cool shot.

I also enjoy imagining people's thoughts when I'm shooting the texture of bricks or a reflection in a puddle. When I took my camera into the grocery store to photograph the produce, everyone from the manager to the woman concerned over the price of asparagus wanted to talk to me about what I was doing.

Maybe singles should skip the bars and buy a camera. :)

You find such inventive subjects. Great greens :)

Wow, great picture!
I combined the two yesterday, maybe I did not look hard enough today, I 'll try even harder tomorrow!

I like photos like this where you look at ordinary things from a different perspective. Cool photo.

Love the tilted view of the cart. I often wonder what people are doing when they are lugging big cameras around....now I know they are taking pics for a photo challenge! LOL

Carolyn said...

Oooh, I like that cart idea! Very nifty :)

This is unexpectedly spectacular. I will look and see what green can be seen.

judi/Gmj said...

Oh yes!! Good one, I'm up and on board. Thanks for projects.

Bobkat said...

I love the perspective on this simple subject. Cool shot :)

I'll be posting another green shot soon!

Dianne said...

great shot!

I've become immune to the odd looks I get from people when I stop to shoot stuff they haven't even noticed.

MaryAnn Ashley said...

THis is fun

Just got my Project green posted. Happy Earth day.....is that why you choose green for your next project??

Katney said...

Weel, I have posted my green dreams for the summer. Maybe I will find something spur of the moment ore creative tomorrow when I am off. I bet I will run into a John Deere before the day is over tomorrow. That is a common vehicle around here.

lynn said...

I love the angle on this shot. Cute story on how you got the photo.

Melli said...

Seems I'm always a day late and a dollar short! But I'm here! Had a hard time with my first one... not much green in my house - and I stayed home all day today!

I love the grocery cart -- can't believe how "artsy" a grocery cart can look! LOL!
