What I'm Listening To: To Be Love by David Glenn
~To check his songs out go HERE ~
Hi everyone!
I was THRILLED to see this chair when I was at a shoot. If you look closely it once was yellow and then painted green. I can imagine this was a great chair and could be again. I wonder about the conversations that took place on the porch and who was sitting in it. Every object has some sort of story and I am always intrigued when I think of what was.
A couple of people have asked me if I chose green for Earth Week. I could lie and say yes but I had absolutely no clue. Seriously, that's embarrassing to say. I chose it because I was noticing when I was out and about that green in the "in" color this season. Anyone else notice? So there is my big reason.
One more thing...JERRY sent me a link to watch a video collage of R.E.M's new single Supernatural Superserious. It's great and you can see and hear different versions...my favorite is the acoustic marked "BOWERY"...check it out if you get a chance! Go HERE.
I will be around to see all your additons to PG tonight for sure! I can't wait to see! I will be back tomorrow with another installment for you!

WOW! What wonderful photos!!! I'm very late in returning your visit and I'm sorry because I've missed a lot.
I wasn't certain where to post - I hope this is correct.
I have a little green parrot so that photo was of special interest to me.
Oh, to be green...
~~~Blessings~~~
What a great transition from yellow to green! My grandparents used to have those metal chairs on their porch. They would get so hot in the summer in Oklahoma. Then I would have a little waffle sunburn pattern on the back of my legs!
I didn't realize Earth day was this week either until I saw the Yahoo logo today....call me slow. But I am attempting to go green this year.
Ohhhhh wow... that's the same green that my youngest son's high chair was when we bought it and stripped it... 18 years ago! Funny how certain colors stick with ya, huh? Very nice shot! I love the weathering...
Anna,
David Glenn is pretty cool. I think I've seen his album cover before somewhere???
That's cool that he's the worship leader at your church!
I think it's funny how you and I seem to be on-line at the same time a lot ;)
I'm looking forward to you and your family visiting central Florida sometime...Sandy and I will come in to hang with you guys ;)
WOW Anna!
I am amazed at the number of things you find to photograph that are worn, weathered, rusted...
I've loved them all.
The shades of green you have found are so appealing to the eye.
I can't be the only one 'green with envy' at your findings!!!
I think it was green and then painted yellow... then the yellow chipped and peeled again. But I still love it. So much character!
Great angle and cropping, Anna! I feel like I could say that for every photo of yours... I love looking for the old stories behind things, too! I think that's part of the reason why I love old houses...
Surgery is today! Thanks for your prayers. Starting 20 minutes ago, no food or drink for me until after surgery. I'm not nervous about the surgery, mostly about my pain levels while I get to the hospital and wait for surgery...
My latest Project Green contribution is up. I think you'll recognize the subject = )
Very good shot of the chair, Anna. My new one is a chair too, but with something else.
Tell your Mom I'll call her when my cold/flu is gone.
I wondered about the green theme, too. And no worries, sweets, I was just as clueless (and I bet we're in the majority :/).
This chair IS wonderful, chipped paint and all. If it could speak, we'd hear marvelous tales, of this, I'm sure! You did it justice with your shot, I love the angle.
I've had a hard time visiting anyone's post the past several days, but I hope to catch up at least a little.
:)
Great shot, Anna! I love things that are aged or distressed. It does make you wonder about its history, doesn't it?
I have had a heck of a time finding green. This morning as I circled my son's preschool's parking lot, I saw a woman wearing a shirt that said, "Green is my new white," with green letters on a white t-shirt. I SO wanted to take her picture, but that would have been too far over the top.
I took the long way back to work searching for green, but it still eludes me.
Hi Anna,
Another great angle. I'm learning a lot viewing your work. And, I'm enjoying it a lot as well. Today being no exception. From all the comments here, I think you can tell how much we are enjoying participating and viewing each other's work. Thanks for doing this
In my entry tonight, I put one up I think you will appreciate. :)
Was your choice of green a lucky happenstance, or your subconscious leading to brilliance?
This chair instantly reminded me of Gram's old stool. I bet is is still sitting in the corner of the kitchen. My uncle has changed the house very little even though Gram has been dead almost 30 years. Nobody lives in the house anymore. Family members from far away use it when they visit home -- except me. I grew up in that house and I never get much past the door when I step inside. Even with all her stuff still there -- or maybe because it is still there -- the house just feels too empty.
the chipped paint on the chair is precious. now if it were yellow, it would have made its way to PY.....but i think i like it on PG :)
Project Yellow is going to Project Green...:)
Yes, green is in, I started to buy variations of different green, esp. lime green, citron green etc. T-shirts already last year (I never did it before), so smth must be in the air ;).
On your picture there is all - the past and the present.
I myself kept to my green leaves theme and added the last two photos. Now the triptychon is complete.
Have a good week(end), I'm back not before the next Monday, hopefully then with the Odd Thing :)!
And I wonder which is the next colour?
very cool vintage shot. love it!
I can just imagine this chair being on the front lawn of an old time motor court...perhaps part of a grouping facing the pool. Great shot!
Anna: You seem to have an old theme going along with green. That is one well used chair.
Love it. Again, the abstract element to it is enticing. You have such an eye for the unusual and angles. Stunning!
Hi Anna! That's such an imaginative shot. I love photos that make us see things in a different way and this one does that. I'm sure that chair has been well used and has seen a lot of good days!
That chair reminds me of the good old (vintage) days where folks actually took time to sit on their porch, sip lemonade, and chat with a neighbor :)
Oops, typo error so I had to delete!
I love the distressed and worn out look of this chair. I love its shade of green!
Interesting shot... great angle! Once they start to get rusty, they are harder to restore than one might think.
Anna, I have my own days when I feel like that.LOL great shot. NO green for me today.. sorry.
Looks like one of our porch chairs.
Nice photo.
Mine green is up,
Come visit,
Troy
Nice photo, I shall try and be more prolific then I was for project yellow :)
interesting shot with a lot of green!
My Project Green
I love the old chair! Your photo is great!
Junie
I love those kind of chairs, seems like they were much more comfortable then the new ones. Great find
I like the distressed/vintage look; what a great find!
Great shot. I love how these seemingly everyday objects become works of art for your camera.
Wow you've got almost 100 people participating! Are you commenting on ALL of the blogs?
I absolutely love this shot, and the previous!! Mine's up. Project Looking Through Met Project Green!
Hi Anna
Once again it has been a while since my last visit and I have enjoyed catching up. Love the Project Yellow and Project Green thing, I would join but am still not sure if I would be able to remember or able to do it.
I am so glad that you have found photography and have taken it up professionally, your pictures rock!!.
Lori
xx
There is a hint of Project Yellow in it as well!
I have all three Projects in one picture today there is PLT, Project Green, and Project Yellow, all in one!
Another great shot Anna! An unusual angle makes such a great shot! I have my Take Three up!
Mr. Linky doesn't like me today, so either I am not listed or I will be there three or four times. I do have a green post for the day.
Yours is a good catch. Many of us comment frequently about unusual photos of ordinary things. A number of us are doing Odd Shots on Mondays and these kinds of shots come up every week. Stop by and visit on Monday. We'd love to have you join in.
Raven (http://ravensviews.blogspot.com/) sent me here and I'm so glad she did! So many wonderful photographs! She encouraged me to add mine to your collection of blogs; I'm blessed to live in the country, so you'll see a lot of green in both my blogs!
Congratulations Anna! Over 100 entries! I am a little slow this week as work is demanding more, but I just have another post up!
Great chair pic. Somehow the peeling paint adds to it's character :)
My next offering is up!
Didn't think I had any really green photos to share BUT I found some -- three in fact and I posted them today. You have found some interesting green things. I will have one more tomorrow.
I love the old chair! And I love the "green" theme! I am new at this "theme photography" but its fun!
Anna, don't know if you made it to Carletta's site and heard here "music" but thought i would put "a bug in your ear" so to speak just in case you hadn't been there. You will love it..Was my first time there and just had to share with you..
